UK SSR and home port

Please can anyone clear up the rules regarding SSR detailing on the hull of a sailboat less than 24m? My boat is now on SSR and I have the number but the registration document does not state any home port (I never specified one) My boat is in the med and when this lock down ends and I can finally get back to the boat I want to put the SSR No. on the stern. My question is "Do I have to have a home port marked on the stern?" The guidelines for part III regarding fixing the number and name are clear but not about a home port. I realize most boats have the port on the stern but is it obligatory or will just displaying the SSR number be sufficient? The boat does not really have a UK home port as it spends all the time in the med.

Quite a few countries round the Med expect to see that so many people on ssr just put a port under the boat name on the stern. Not really any such thing cruising of 'the way it really is', stick a port name on the stern and you'll might have a port official be a bit less picky.
I went for London guessing they'll have heard of it
