I will be crossing from the
west coast of
Mexico to the
Marquesas in about a year. What is the best
route for a powerboat to take advantage of light winds, favorable currents, avoiding
lightning in the ITCZ, etc? World Cruising Routes gives some guidelines but from the perspective of a sail crossing. Is there a different strategy for powerboats? I can do anywhere from 150 to 200 miles a day depending on
wind and
current. Any suggestions?
Thanks
