Jeantot Power Cat Advice

Does anyone have experience with the 12.7m (45') Jeantot Euphorie power cat? I have a chance to buy one in a very distressed condition, but if I'm going to put big dollars into a restoration, am curious as to what I'll end up with. It looks like a nice bluewater boat -- a little tight on the inside but with good bones. It has two Cummins 6cyl diesels that are probably trashed, will need new electronics, shafts pulled and replaced, new props and a lot of cosmetics. Been out of the water for 6 years. There are also some very small -- pinhead sized -- shallow blisters in the gel coat ABOVE the waterline on one side. Problem? How crazy am I to consider spending the next three years of my life on this ...

THANKS!

Re: Jeantot Power Cat Advice

I worked on one with Perkins engines. Seemed like would be difficult to remove engines if needed. I would consider smaller engines to just run displacement speeds. Great live aboard potential.
