Hybrid alloy cat from New Zealand - Herley Boats

Hi all.
just thought it might be cool to show people here this awesome new boat launched over in NZ by Herley Boats

The 3400 power cat.
Shes a diesel-electric hybrid designed to maximize range and environmental impact.

She is one sexy boat and easily one of the best aluminum boats I've ever seen

Big fan of hybrid tech in boats and this one ticks the boxes

Greetings and welcome aboard the CF, chocolatemoose.
What’s your relationship with Herley Boats?
FWIW: Whilst I can appreciate “maximized range”, I’d much prefer to see "minimized environmental impact".

Thanks.! It's nice to find a forum that does have a cruising motif.
I'm a bit of a marine tech head and been following the progress of this boat and just saw in their FB page that it's launched finally

Edit..yes I was a bit hasty and did intend to say minimum enviromental impact

Hi, congratulations!
I gather from your enthusiasm that you are not concerned with hybrid boats catching fire. What is your assessment of the lithium batteries used in these boats? We have had some cases of fire on boats here in Europe.
