I'm surprised one of the islanders hasn't make a hut from it already. And it's already painted.

Re: Russian Space Debris Found in Tobago Cays ?

Haven't the Russians been launching stuff from the French site in Guiana? I seem to recollect that they had one or two that had to be destroyed while still in atmosphere because the launch went fubar. Could be part of one of them. I agree that its pretty unlikely to be something that re-entered. No burn damage at all.

Re: Russian Space Debris Found in Tobago Cays ?

If it is indeed part of a spacecraft, it was probably launched from French Guyana on an Ariane booster.

I came across this post from 2002 which talks about a piece of fairing from an Egyptian satellite launch that turned up on the beach in Bequia.

The Usual Suspects - December 2001 Adventure - The Paradise Routine

The author was able to track down information that proves beyond any doubt that it's "space junk", in spite of the fact that it shows no traces of burning from the friction of re-entry.

Re: Russian Space Debris Found in Tobago Cays ?

Due to the shape of these pieces, they may have just floated down like a leaf, albiet a FAST leaf.
That would keep terminal velocity low enough to prevent excessive heating.

Appreciate that Virgin's Spacecraft won't reach the orbit of a Shuttle or a Satellite, but I love the solution to excessive re-entry heat build up........going slower by simply rotating the wings so she falls like a shuttlecock (or leaf?) - apparently requires no pilot input, the design itself means she has to descend at the angle that is slow enough.

Sometimes the answers are obvious - after you have them

BTW I beleive that she uses technology that was available in the early 70's (even if some was part of secret Govt programmes ) and could have been launched back then......if that had happened, by now we would be running passengers to the Moon............

It wasn't a movie (that was part of the Govt lies) - it was a documentary. It must have been true.....had OJ Simpson in it

and that's why "they" keep starting unwillable conflicts - to divert the Media attention away from the !!!TRUTH!!!

This is my boat:-

If you look carefully you may notice that it has been shielded . The Govt thinks it's part of simple insulation .....but in fact the material was developed for protection against Alien mind control attacks, during the first Alien War (Vietnam was just a cover story to explain the money spent).

Can't be too careful - that Anal probing not as pleasant as it sounds...........
