Hey I just got a private message from Janettee Shelly from the forum
soliciting me to join a group of ???
I hope that their is some way to block this type of action on this great site

I deleted a similar message before opening it. There seems to be a sudden rash of spam messages.

Spam attack. Mods are trying to keep up. Flag any new ones so we know who to ban.

In the past few hours we've had reports of unwanted spammy PMs and I wanted to let you know that it appears we had bunch of bot registrations and those account sent spammy Pms to many members a few hours ago directing them to check an awesome site with adult content.

We have removed the accounts and the PMs that were sent but you may have received an e-mail notice of the PM. Please just delete the e-mail. We work hard to stop spam but it's an uphill battle and the site team has been working for hours to clean this up. We appreciate the time that members took to report the problem as this is often the only way we know that the messaging system is being abused. We HATE spam.

Thanks for that. I’ve had them in the past but there’s no “report” option on the pm page. Could that perhaps be switched on, or at least a link put in to post to a moderator? I have the same on forums I run and getting them reported ASAP does help.

There is a report function in a PM but it's in a non-standard place - top right.
