Anchor winch soleniod

When engaging anchor up down switch the solenoid clicks however winch doesn’t move .Seems like power is good as it’s a loud click on the Muir unit .Suggestions please or is it time for a new solenoid and how can I test to see if it’s okay. Thanks in advance and Happy Easter .Cheer Geoff.
