Dear Gord,

It doesn't hurt any skipper. To have a float plan. Fortunately, there are a few probably who do not have one?

Let's hope for anyone's sake they do?

Regards,

Kevin

Good liks GORD. It points out the most important part of a float plan. Making sure the peron holding it knows what to do with it. Kind of like a will left with an ex wife.

"... like a will left with an ex wife ..."
GOOD POINT, and an excellent turn of phrase.
Page 2 of the USCG Float Plan includes instructions. Make certain your 'monitor' understands them.

UK Coastguard have a similar system, managed by the Coastguard. Unfortunately, it is not a simple job for them to search on it, or to match details against the call sign database.

That would be too sensible!
