This is an interesting shot because of the discussion about whether beamy transomed boats go bow down when heeled. I have just headed up almost to a beat in a short chop. The bow is in a wave and the transom is in the prior wave, but you can see in this picture that Synergy has not shifted trim to a bow down position. At this point she is probably heeled 20-25 degrees and is moving a little over her 7.6 knot theortical hullspeed, probably in the range of 8 or so knots,
