I don't know how many Iroquois owners are on the forum, but rather than only relying on input from any brand catamaran owners, why don't you simply contact the Iroquois Owners Association and ask...

Well in 1986 Tony Laurent and Daniel Pradel sailed a Hobie 18 from Dakar, Senegal on Africa’s west coast, to Pointe a Pitre, Guadeloupe, part of the French Antilles in the Caribbean
