Not sure I understand. So what I read some time...

Not sure I understand. So what I read some time ago is not true and that ASCII is nothing like NMEA-0183? Is that correct?

Or are you saying that two NMEA sources will not work with a NMEA...

Nice writeup scotte! It clarifies some things I was unaware of....thanks. :)

I just wanted to add that with a NMEA 0183 multiplexer you can take two or more sources that generate NMEA 0183 data...
