Even though the OP stated that they have tired gelcoat and not existing paint in decent shape, thus necessitating a primer job? Plus stripes? |

Oh, yes. 320 scratches print through LPU. So does 400 hand sanding, but not DA sanding. So, guide coat, hand sand, then DA. All 400. |

Ann- Gelcoat porosity is not quite that simple. IME, it is almost always a result of over catalyzation of the gel, or application of gel at very high temps. Both of which lead to the same result;... |

Does this include a proper primer job, including sanding the primer out? Or is it no primer, or primer that is hot coated? Big difference. |

Why two years? You should get twenty out of a well done, well maintained LPU job, unless you're in the tropics full time. Even then you should get ten. |

What, you don't sand the primer? 15 hrs is extremely misleading, IMHO. If you want a good finish, anyway. |
