You might spend some time thinking about using the toilet in a bouncy sea-way. Mostly, this is addressed by the addition of hand holds, so you can use your arms to keep you on the pot...

I've used commercially build hinged-door showers. They tend to leak at the bottom. Keeping them clean requires drying them after use, this will be true of your acrylic, as well. Your design...
