I installed a simple mushroom vent on the deck. If we are headed into some green seas I simply screw the mushroom down to keep the slosh out. So far so good.

I'm pretty sure it's illegal to dump urine over the side from a container. It's probably illegal to pee over the side as well. But as morven55 says, urine is sterile. It does not carry any pathogens...
