My ideal boat install would be hydraulic driven off a PTO on my main with a water cooled 8-9cfm compressor, as a friend has on his 55ft schooner........it's all in the engine room as the water cooled...

Your 9kw northern lights will easily operate a 3-4cfm compressor, with soft start my 5kw northern lights works as long as no other loads are on the gen set.....
