I haven't check into it for a working person.

This example is what I'm paying for a family member. Mine is $150.00/month thru work on this contract.

On my last contract job, I paid $683.00...

I'm not getting any free healthcare Sarge (E6 type), and I believe sailorboy is paying for his also. (you'll have to check his expenses list)

HaHa, no not really.

I'm thinking if sailorboy reads the above posts between you and I, he will realize I was not at a grunt base (Lejeune) but at an air base which is why I could run the ICW...

Yeah, but you were in the navy safely on a ship out at sea

I'm thinking 6 years in the marines easily equals 11 years navy.

I didn't mean you personally, I meant the idea you had of doing the military thing just to get medical care.

I am sorry you had to be in the navy though.

Yeah, but you would have been in the military for 20 years at least and it will take you at least 20 more to learn how to be a civilian.

The point is you are going to pay one way or another.

Sorry, not jealous at all.

I could never spend three months motoring the ICW. I'd go nuts with boredom

I never liked sailing down the ICW either. I get away from creeks, main channels etc...

Yes we talk, workout, sail, fight with the dog, check on the deer, work on the yard, etc.

Then we get to argue cruising on CF which is a good thing. I have to argue points at work online...

You work, learn to sail, get a nice boat, sail/motor South, then cannot find enough to do which he mentioned in his entertainment category. Marinas and anchoring can get old...
