The problem is your choice of heat shrink butt splices. Better to apply the heat shrink after doing a proper connection. Your first tool would have done the job. |

Here you simply first extend the pigtails, then connect to terminal strip, as before. In damp locations like this all terminations are lastly coated with Liquid 'Lectrical Tape. bul--you bought... |

Get the good double-crimp crimpers. You'll be using mostly that type of terminal. You can add shrink wherever it is required. |
