Oldish now, newish later...

Giver the specification that the boat is not going to be cruised for 10 years it might be nicer to buy a '90s boat now, with a plan to upgrade in 10 years.

To my way of thinking buying a big boat is only justifiable if it's going to be used full time.

Your $200k well invested is going to cover the cost of just about any charter that you will want...
