The pic is a still taken from a Viagra commercial, of all things, and only shows the sailboat for a second or two. Hard to tell that it IS a backfilled jib with such a short glimpse, but once able...

Ok, let's see if this pic comes through. See how the smaller sail seems to be attached to the shroud. It could be a stormsail, or maybe even a mainsail from a much smaller boat, pulled in...

Found a picture of the shroud mounted stormsail.. actually, it almost looks like a dinghy sail. Now how to post the pic...

Anybody ever seen a stay or stormsail stretched from or attached to the forward shroud? I thought I saw one on TV, and it intrigued me. Maybe it's used for stability, or could it be used to enhance...
