I said "caution" about sub-sets as one will have to keep the complete xml key file for each of the sub sets...
Updating will need always a manual intervention as well.

The Swedish charts are very detailed and "heavy weight" for any system.
But your PC shall not have any issue seeing the RAM and processor.



Make sure that OpenGL is enabled on your PC.

Yes , Denmark is back.

And Faroers and Greenland are individual chart sets now.
We don't expect that many downloads for them though...

Denmark:

there surfaced some fineprint in an annex to the licensing conditions that forces us to separate the subsets of Denmark, Faroers and Greenland into individual sets.

We plan to do that...

Perhaps some non-ASCII characters in the password or the email, nice things like "Ö"?



Would be interesting to know as these are typical cases you will not catch testing.

Is the oeSENC plug-in installed and enabled, so that you see the oeSENC tab under Options|Charts?

The UK set does not contain any large scale and detailed charts of the Faroers, as those are edited by the Danish authorities.


Perhaps sometimes in the future there might be a regional chart...

These charts follow the same scheme as the other oeSENC charts:


- vector charts directly from the Hydrographic Offices, licensed and packaged for OpenCPN. Look and feel like all other S-57 or...

We can confirm oeSENC Denmark starting July, 1st.
No crowdfunding required.

Due to last minute changes on interpretations of the terms of the licenses we will start with a complete set for 24€.

The idea is 35€ (ex VAT) the first year - including weekly updates - and a 22€ extension for the second and following years.
Depending on GST fares..

The Swedish oeSENC set will be available from Friday about 10.00 UTC as a normal chart set at o-charts.

During the day the crowdfunders will get their receipt/invoice as a signal that their chart...

You can use the charts on two different systems in parallel. Which one you want to call "back-up" in your mind, that is just up to you.

You have always the original chart install plus one back-up install. As defined by the licensors

The back-up can be in parallel on a second system or a back-up/recovery option in case the first...

Not a secret at all. The Danish authorities are overhauling their licensing conditions and got somehow tangled.

We visited them in March to discuss their draft and are still hoping to...
