I think you will like the Beta 50. I bought one and put about 2000 trouble-free hours on it before I sold my boat. I typically cruised at 1600 rpm and it was much smoother and quieter than the 4108...

The Beta will run with a 2" exhaust, but the Yanmar requires 3".
