What's the best method for checking the power out put of a wind generator that has no amp meter and is connected directly to the battery?

Just replaced the bearings in my 913 and during the coarse of replacing I found that the ceramic magnet has a crack through it. Will this stop it from working? It is up now with the new bearings but...
