Well that's not good news.:banghead: Ancor has changed their tool line and sadly most of the stuff is sourced in China these days. I've not used that tool particular tool with that crimp-die set..

From what I was told that model was discontinued and that image really does it no justice as the one that used to ship under that model# was not made in the USA. While there may be some left out...

The FTZ 94130 single crimp controlled cycle crimper is a decent DIY/mid grade tool for crimping heat shrink terminals.

Some thoughts;

Butt splices are best spliced with a single crimp die tool not a double crimp die tool.

Double crimp tools, like the Ancor, are uni-directional; one side for strain...
