...it sounds hopeless quilting these without reference to wgs84 -which makes perfect sense doesn't it?-so much easier when they are on the same grid. And sailors and airmen really want just one grid... |

aah- I think I see. It looks like Someone has been calibrating the chart to match another chart's shores or borders (REFS) and then drawn the border(PLYS) through these? |

I had a look at this chart too. The borders(PLYS) are strange though-why not rectangular on a MERCATOR chart? and Why not include the whole chart? it's already got any white border cropped off. ... |

...I think you'll have to suffer through that one. I always considered Ozi's "map" files and "evts" and "plts'" and "wpt" files to be layers because they don't imbed into the original graphic or kap... |

mmm. as to "Road Kaps",I don't need Ozi (or GM) at all. I just download maps with MobileAtlasCreator and convert em with Map2kap,so yes,OpenCPN can go for a drive too! |

Peeve per Ozi ...Ozi creates it's map files with spaces in the name,taken from the header of whatever file it sourced,and these make it a nuisance to a cmd line....it complicates recipes,don't it? |
