Reality is a fragile illusion and life is not forever...neither is anything associated with it. Both points profoundly reinforced for me when my first mate was killed in a boating accident.

Meet your next mate doing what you love. Ive had the good fortune to meet 2 that way. First, during a regatta. Second, at a marina after she and her ex split up.
