I have to agree with you Dave, its a lifestyle choice and not everyone can do it.
It is about the money.
I am not prepared to work that hard at 61 years old or go through the stresses of the past...

I prefer multihulls particually for this part of the world and the eastern islands of New Guinea. Shallow draft, stable and low power requirements.
