I agree they wouldn't be up to the five capes but, for harbour and fair weather sailors (90%?), they'll be fine. Most boats are vastly overbuilt for the work they actually do imo. Of course they... |

If you can't get poly, maybe a gasket (poly? silicon?) between the alum & steel might be enough to protect. Those two metals aren't too prone to galvanic action anyway. |
