Re: Climate Change, Part III

You mean hydrogen doesn't burn? That would be news to these guys: Hydrogen Fuel (https://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/hydrogen.shtml)

Re: Climate Change, Part III

Well jack (ISPA Yachtmaster Offshore Instructor Evaluator, CYA Advanced Cruising Instructor, IYT Yachtmaster Coastal Instructor), at least he's actually in a field of study that has some relevance to...

Re: Climate Change, Part III

You may be able to cherry pick, but you sure can't read a chart. Since the greatest anomaly over the last 30 years from the new NOAA data was in 1998 at .67 degrees C, and every other data point is...

Re: Climate Change, Part III

There is also a strong correlation between car crashes and ambulances. I wonder if we outlawed ambulances we could drive down auto fatalities....hmmmm. Maybe I can get a grant studying that.

Re: Climate Change, Part III

Sorry Cona, but I'm not the only one. The NOAA data shows no warming, even though CO2 has increased. Now isn't that odd? Maybe it's because CO2 and earth temperatures are not related one to the...

Re: Climate Change, Part III

Well grind away, but please be aware that in every branch of science except climate 'science', calling a correlation validation for a model is laughed at. They're interesting and worthy of...

Re: Climate Change, Part III

Typically dishonest. It wasn't Anthony Watts who wrote the above, it was some guy called Nylo. Who could be you for all I know.

Re: Climate Change, Part III

Simple answer, yes.

And before you make a fool of yourself, don't yell at me. The data comes from an AGW fan site, newscientist.com, here: Climate myths: Human CO2 emissions are too tiny to...

Re: Climate Change, Part III

The 4% is the amount of CO2 from manmade sources over a year's time compared to natural sources. Unless you postulate the magic CO2 molecule you seem to suggest, then CO2 is CO2 and if in any given...

Re: Climate Change, Part III

Some corrections:

1. I didn't reference Spencer as a solar scientist but as a climatologist. The links to the stories on the effects of solar radiation on climate refer to solar scientists. ...

Re: Climate Change, Part III

Probably best for you to speak for yourself...

I don't think I said they were fakers. There are climate scientists I agree with working at major universities, publishing in climate journals,...

Re: Climate Change, Part III

Just a guess, but you don't have anything to do with any scientific endeavor, do you....

Scientific theories are attacked, and scientists defend them. Good scientists welcome that process, while...

Re: Climate Change, Part III

Since the earth hasn't warmed for 30 years, based on the NOAA satellite data, I guess we needn't worry about it then, correct?

Re: Climate Change, Part III

No contradiction. I am in favor of clean technologies that are cost efficient. Carbon reduction schemes are anything but.

There is enough oil and gas in the ground to power the world for the...

Re: Climate Change, Part III

Can you find the "rapid increase in temperature from the 1970s through the 1990s" referred to above in this July, 2013 summary of data from NOAA satellites, posted below? As noted, these NOAA...

Re: Climate Change, Part III

Agreed. Where you have 25 foot tides, tidal generation makes a lot of sense. Elsewhere, it's pretty expensive and doesn't produce enough to compete with alternate sources.

Could you show one example where I have posted incorrect information? Try to be specific, if you can.

If you are still working the CO2 contribution question, I understand that there are AGW fans...

Re: Climate Change, Part III

Yes, let's do. CO2 emissions since 1800 have come from two sources - those that men contribute and those that are natural products of the environment. The ratio today is around 96% natural and 4%...

Re: Climate Change, Part III

So, ice that is old is different from ice that is new? That sounds a bit like Conachair's two CO2 molecules - one made by outgassing from the oceans (good) and one made by SUV's (bad). I don't...

Re: Climate Change, Part III

You're quite right David, the posts can be tediously long.

The simple answer to why AGW fans are all wet is because CO2 has been increasing, while temperatures have remained stable. We should...

Re: Climate Change, Part III

No, I am all in favor of generating energy in as clean a fashion as possible. I am against massive public investments in solar that fail because the product produced makes no economic sense. I am...

Re: Climate Change, Part III

And you think I have trouble with math?

Atmospheric CO2 is around 400 ppm. 96% comes from natural causes, or 384 ppm. 4% from manmade sources, or 16 ppm. Yes, CO2 is increasing because less is...

Re: Climate Change, Part III

Ah, so you're back on imaginary chemistry where 384 ppm CO2 from natural sources is benign, but 16 ppm of the same molecule warrants spending and taxing ourselves to penury to reduce it. Thanks for...
