I politely disagree. They certainly feel more gentle and provide more dryer-comfy rides. But there are many times when you need to "fight" the boat or one of its systems, that make a smaller boat...

Your question is relative to rate of drift and whether or not you have a lee shore. rate of drift could be two to three knots even more depending on conditions, hull design etc.

Maneuverability will still come down to the design of the boat. Long keel vs short keel. Deep v hull vs flat planing hull. Left or Right hand Prop Walk. Freeboard windage. There are so many...
