We ended up moving away in November, but I recommend Bear Point Marina. They seem to have really low rates in comparison to others and very nice people around there.

Lots of good sailing near that...

Thanks, this is very encouraging. We'll probably base out of an apartment in Gulf Shores for 6 months to a year, while I boat shop and marina shop.
