family cruisers- had we been able to rent the house for a profit we would have. Couldn't happen for us so we are celebrating the freedom. Having a home base/re-entry plan would be nice but it was not...

I understand the concern with selling instead of renting out. We looked at everything very closely. In our situation, we could not rent it out to even cover the mortgage- let alone cover rental...

We expected it to take much much longer to sell the house than it did. We are actually having to rent a place for a while as we are not ready to go yet-departure date set for spring 2013.

In the end of June we came back from our shake down cruise, pulled into the driveway, looked at the house and then each other and knew it was time. We called a realtor and placed the house for sale...
