Had to do similar on my last trip.. my Laptop died so took a picture of a locals chart with my android and used it to navigate down to Eemshaven.. love the TP expand thingy..:thumb:

I can print off sections expanded for detail at the moment of my CM93 charts... tricky entries I prefer to stay on top paper in hand rather than bobbing up and down eyeballing the CP..

Triangulating on landmarks using Mk 1/chart data works extremely well.. even at night.. pretty accurate.:biggrin:
Only started using CP's since 2012 when buying Nimble Navigator for a Pacific...

Rather use my eye's and brain to calculate angles/speeds and any course changes than miss things running up and down checking AIS and chart.. been crossing the English Channel that way for over...

Also.. folk forget.. the CP does not show where you are.. just where you've been.. and you've no way off knowing the time lag in signals.. so don't stuff up your night vision staring at screens...
