More than once we were flat out told by older cruisers that we were too young to be "out here" with our kids. They were 1/2 joking and 1/2 bitter I think that they waited so long.

A) the non-cruiser sister is rightfully more focused on the Family than the boat...so I wouldn't place much weight on her impressions at this point. But people over property is SOP in rescue...

As a father that cruised with two kids, I can tell you that if one of my kids was in medical distress to the point where we needed to call for a chopper rescue, my wife and I would be waving goodbye...
