Yes, that is exactly the unit you are describing. The unit was a welded copper tank which sprung a leak on one of the straight welds. Interestingly I was able to limp along for a few weeks by cutting...

With the old hot water heater the pressure relief was just above nominal system pressure (hot water heater limit, I used a somewhat higher one in a pinch and the old hot water...
