You are correct in Port Said would have been easier BUT - and there is always a but -- I contacted two agents there and the new cost just to enter Port Said is 675USD -- and that does not include any...

Really - We did contact an agent in Alex who said he checked with the Port and they could not take us in and he could be of no further help to us. We thanked him and told him we could contact him...
