I understand the desire. But a large part of going electric is changing your mindset about speed. As a general estimate, each knot of speed doubles the power consumption (for displacement hulls). ...

I agree. I have an electric dingy, which is basically just a slightly modified trolling motor with an AGM battery in a box with a switch and a fuse. It's killer for my application, which is short...
