By that logic if I show up in a very narrow boat I should only pay half price.

I'm almost always tied alongside. I'm renting the length of the dock I occupy, not the area of the water I float in.

I have sailed on multihulls from Padanaram, Mass. to Ft. Myers, Fl.
I have never been charged extra for dockage. I would expect to pay double if I were occupying two slips, but that has never...
