yes but that is a UK specific situation, the big advantage of Navtex in European waters is its in ENglish, equally how will you use a Pactor modem to get at websites anyway, thats not going to work...

I had the ICS printing one on the last boat , fab piece of kit , interfaced to the GPS it switched stations automatically, The paper is a great energy saver. Pity they discontinued the model.

why would you drop Navtex, Its the better of all the systems on board, especially around Europe.

The radio does not need a DSC receiver in order to generate a DSC Distress Signal. SO yes in an emergency , where you have lost the...

Dockhead. Radar arch height if possible or mount on the spreader. It's only a receive only antenna. Not key in an emergency

It will work on the rail too
