Re: MPPT Charge Controller for LifePO4 Batteries
No, there is no "putting 14V into batteries". A battery that is not full does not allow the voltage to go up there. What you put into batteries is energy expressed in Ah or kWh. |

Re: MPPT Charge Controller for LifePO4 Batteries
:confused: why use a solar panel to measure a controller on the bench? It would be highly unusual to do so and results would be flawed when even the slightest change in light would occur. ... |

Re: MPPT Charge Controller for LifePO4 Batteries
You're hitting a wall. My boat does not have any crap wiring nor PWM controllers. My measurements were done with a Wh counter (not an amp meter that can't be used to measure energy transfer) and it... |

Re: MPPT Charge Controller for LifePO4 Batteries
I'm 100% with MaineSail on this; only the bulk mode matters; during absorption and float you are wasting array output and controller efficiency is irrelevant. In bulk phase, a good MPPT controller... |

Re: MPPT Charge Controller for LifePO4 Batteries
It is for people who recently bought a PWM controller. It doesn't work for them if their choice wasn't the most optimal, so MPPT must be bad, PWM good. This is the way it works for most on the... |

Re: MPPT Charge Controller for LifePO4 Batteries
Li: 1,100 + 1,000 + 2,128 + 300 = 4,528 LA: 1,100 + 1,000 + 1,400 + 150 = 3,650 both solar arrays are the same capacity and quality then and both battery banks equal in available power (yes with... |

Re: MPPT Charge Controller for LifePO4 Batteries
I don't know anybody using a Powertech MPPT controller. Are they real or fake? who makes them? Any good references, reviews, tests? What efficiency factor do they have? To me it sounds like cheap... |
