1. If you look at the post instead of jumping to conclusions what I said was the "old" OFF,1,BOTH,2 switch will do the job and doesn't need to be replaced. It does allow you to leave one battery...

Echo chargers have a 15 amp maximum. A Combiner100 or equivalent between the two batteries would make switching unnecessary and handle the full output of the alternator. Since it is bi-directional,...
