Connecting battery negative to any metal that can get damp or wet creates stray current that generates marine electrolysis corrosion. The CAUSE can be corrected.

I think if such occurrences were common they would create a tidal wave of opinion.

I have seen this before and have isolated then corrected the CAUSE. Before I proceed a loaded...
