I don't think most have thrusters. They just get carried away with RPMs, forward and reverse. Response is not instantaneous. |

Backing a trawler, single screw displacement, is not a problem with a barn door rudder with a good amount of leading edge on it. Most twins have postage stamp rudders, ever see someone dock a twin... |

I'm with you on the trawler being a single. I have only seen one built with twins, it was built for shrimping. A Lucander designed 73'. The builder/owner hated it after a short period of time. Sold... |
