I see that document says "revised 5/2017" at the bottom. Wonder if it wasn't there or somewhere else when I sent my paperwork in. (Late May of '17)

I can find NO reference to any kind of "expedited service" or corresponding fee on the official USCG web site.

According to a previous poster who asked the USCG - "services"...

Yes, that was my head-scratcher too. I'd say it's the way some government organizations "think". Sure, the temporary issue may be quicker since they may not do ALL of the gyrations - but they have to...

Did you get anything from the USCG yet?

According to the link, temporary certificates would start to be issued July 8th. Assuming they would start with the oldest applications first...

I checked the MMSI page and it says an existing one can be transferred, but guessing you still need a current COD to do that?

Our "new to us" boat has a DSC radio, but don't know if...

Wow...

So basically if you bought a boat back in May (we did) and filed to exchange the COD (we did) you're not likely gonna get your exchanged COD 'til September - and thus - can't legally...

The web site makes no mention of an expedited service, and the fee schedule shows no fee for expedited service. Is this a state secret that you need a higher security level to see?
