Especially since a powerful enough genny can replenish that LFP bank every couple hours if needed.

But fact remains if used many times a day, powering the compressor directly from a dino juice...

I would be almost as annoyed by the noise of an electric compressor running for many hours as I would by a dino juice motor.

A huge reason I like sailing is the relative quiet.

Yes, Quattro also does what you want, and can also coordinate between two A/C sourced.

Just noting that for apples to apples comparison, batteries' C/20 rating is the usual for deep cycling.

So for a "240AH" battery, that number was arrived at a constant discharge rate of 12A.

Looking at Victron, they claim the Quattro's PowerAssist is unique

But some googling shows Magnum has a line with what seems a similar feature.

Mastervolt also a good one, but pricey and not as well supported.

Sorry I'm confused. If you know you're running a big genny to power the compressor, why not just use a known-good direct fuel powered type?

I assumed you wanted to just run off the batteries, for...

Do some googling about running a full-size air conditioning setup off batteries.

That big a load is really pushing the limits of "mostly solar", and if you need to run a genny anyway you may be...
