Practicality is fly "home" to earn good money, fill up the accounts quick as possible (van dwelling?), then fly back to relax, make it last long as possible.

I meant in foreign countries, full stop.

Poorer countries take visa/work permit violations seriously, and may not stay within the law to punish you if you are trying to compete with the locals.
