Re: I've Gone and Done it Now

You mean like this one, which I have sailed with in large swells;)

All joking aside, if I had to do it over again, I would probably just deal with the dingy on the front deck. That radar arch cost...

The wife: I can see from the bow that...

Re: I've Gone and Done it Now

A64 : I owe you and your wife an apology. From the internet, you did not appear to be ready. Glad you made it to your home port. May many good times come your way. If I ever get up that way, I will...

Re: I've gone and done it now

Good Luck A64. I hope you have a good passage. If you do have to anchor out in say Tampa you can always go back when you have a few days and finish the job.

Re: I've gone and done it now

I think I was misquoted here and I want to clear my name. My advice was to get the boat shipshape- when all that needed to be done in order to go sailing was minor details (like which soap to use)...

Re: I've gone and done it now

A64- my fuel burn is about .5 gal per hour on a beta 38 @2000 rpm. So a gal/hour is a good est. Do plan on a beat up the west coast. Do not linger on the east side or keys thinking you have plenty of...

Re: I've gone and done it now

I see I have really stepped in it. Looking back on my post, I can see how it would appear sexist. Actually the opposite is true. My wife is my best friend. She gets on the boat and immediately starts...

Re: I've gone and done it now

and " Admiral's first trip is a big first impression.."

Believe me, it took 4 years for me to get my wife to love the boat after her sailing on it when it was rough. Save your self some grief- do...

Re: I've gone and done it now

He said from Daytona Beach to Panama City by water correct? And he has rented a captain for a 10 day voyage. I don't think the mast will make it through the big lake. And you guys think they are...
