I don't know if your plans to avoid marina's and live on the hook & sailing have changed, but if not: think about that galley layout. I know, it's spacious, but on a rolling / heeling boat, cooking...

I love the look - but it's extra maintenance and when screwed on, it can be a pain with leaks etc. Just not worth it imho, tho I have seen a few boats with a great quality very thick real teak, but...

Haha, that was my first thought :)

I don't know if it's glued on, or screwed or both - but if possible, I'd consider removing it before I'd consider trying to fix it.

And if it's laminated...

Having always avoided teak decks I'm no expert, but from the pic it looks to me it's a little more work then that.

The ... ehh ... black stuff (sorry, don't know the English term for it) looks...
