I have a simple formula for solar. If you have 400 watts of panels figure 25% of that in Amp Hours per day in average sunny cruising climes. 400w of solar = 100 Amp Hours a day. In a rainy place... |

Get the clamp meter and learn to use it. I always enjoy showing people who think their 80 amp alternator is a beast is only putting out 15 amps. |

I agree the Fluke is exceptional gear. I have a Fluke multimeter without an amp clamp and like it but I feel the Blue Sea that I use more is just as accurate and as durable at an excellent price... |

This is where typical battery monitors fail most mortals. You can enter the number of Ah as if the batteries are new and it will always be wrong. Without doing a long 20 hr test you never really know... |
