Agreed - the multigrade 40 I feel the better choice for our climate over the mono 30. In saying that PO of our vessel had run the mono for the first 1700hrs. I just like the lower starting viscocity...

Running 5W40 Mobil 1 Turbo Diesel in my 3JH3 for the last 6 years that I have owned her. 18yrs / 2100hrs so far. Pittwater based.
