On a side note, I would highly recommend going with the plastic material as apposed to the method I chose. It's a pain to deal with in the event I have to pull all the battens down. It looks nice,...

I used western red cedar for my headliner. 1.5" wide strips that are 3/8" thick. They are fastened to plywood that is epoxied in place.

It's not fully complete, some boards need to be replaced...
